Profile
Asma has been Visiting Faculty at NLSIU since 2021, and at WBNUJS in 2022. She spent the first decade of her career as in-house counsel at India’s banking, consumer goods, and IT majors where her work ranged from financial transactions to technology contracting with an emphasis on cross-border transactions and specific focus on transacting in the US and South-East Asia. As an independent legal practitioner, Asma now specializes in commercial contracting and advisory services.
Additionally, Asma is the founder of Playful Pursuits, India’s jigsaw puzzle community, conducting casual and competitive events both online and in-person for puzzle enthusiasts. She conducts in-person meetups and puzzle competitions in Bangalore and has been an avid puzzler for the last 5 years. She is also the co-founder of the Jigsaw Puzzle Association of India (the national association for promotion of the sport) and ReRoll Board Games (a Bangalore-based board games collective).
