Profile
Dr. Nanda Kishore studied for his LLB and LLM (Legal Theory and History) degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science, having been awarded scholarships by the school. After returning, he has been a practising advocate for more than 25 years at Bangalore and New Delhi – where he is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India. He has practised extensively in writ, civil and commercial matters and represented a large number of private and public entities.
Along with his practice, he has always been passionate about teaching and has managed to retain a foot in academia throughout. He was earlier a full-time Assistant Professor at NLS and has subsequently been a Visiting Professor for several years. His areas of research and academic interest include Procedure, Legal Reforms, Human Rights and Legal Theory. He is currently Professor of Practice at National Law School and teaches civil procedure and drafting of pleadings.
