Profile
Samiksha began her career as a litigation associate at an Indian corporate law firm, S&R Associates, where she worked for five years before starting her independent litigation practice. She has extensive experience in constitutional and civil litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution advisory mandates with a focus on constitutional law, commercial laws, shareholder disputes, intellectual property laws, insolvency, regulatory disputes and taxation laws.
While at the chambers of Mr. Shyam Divan, Senior Advocate she worked extensively on the Supreme Court matters relating to India’s biometric project (‘Aadhaar’) and the reports of use of Pegasus on Indian citizens. She was also a Research Assistant for Dr. Professor Helen Keller, University of Zurich between November 2010 and March 2011. She assisted Dr. Keller with editorial work for her book ‘UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies: Law and Legitimacy’ and her work at the United Nations Human Rights Committee in 2010.
Samiksha has served on the panel GAIL (India) Limited (formerly known as Gas Authority of India Limited), DRI/DGGI (including GST and Customs field formations), Food Corporation of India, the Government of Uttar Pradesh before the Supreme Court, and has advised the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India on securities laws and various issues under the Companies Act. She was also a consultant for the Regulatory Governance Project at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
