Profile

Sarah Zia is a journalist and independent researcher with interests lying at the intersection of media,  mobilities, identities and urban cultures. Currently, she is an assistant editor at HT Media Ltd. She is  also a qualitative researcher and her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and as book  chapters. Most recently, she was awarded a research grant by the Centre for Internet and Society  funded by the Azim Premji University to conduct an ethnographic study of ride hailing drivers in  the platform economy.
