Profile
She is a lawyer and an accredited mediator with experience in mediating commercial, corporate, employment and family (including partition, matrimonial, custody) disputes. She has over 25 years’ experience in corporate commercial law, both as a transactional attorney and dispute resolver—experience that informs her work in mediation and conciliation. Prior to establishing her independent practice, she was a partner with leading law firms in India. She has been a mediator with the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, annexed to the Madras High Court since its inception in 2005. She is a founding Trustee of the Foundation for Comprehensive Dispute Resolution (FCDR), Chennai. She was a member of a group of mediators appointed by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India in 2020 to draft a legislation on mediation for India.
She is also a Visiting Faculty at Sai University, Chennai. She is the author of ‘Mediation Policy and Practice’ that evaluates the use of mediation in various dispute verticals, including cross border mediation under the Singapore Convention.
