Profile
Atreyo has over three years of experience working in climate justice and environmental law, focusing on strategic litigation, action-oriented research, and academia. He is currently part of Agami, a not-for-profit organization championing innovation in law and justice, where he co-leads the OpenNyAI Mission, building Digital Public Goods through the OpenNyAI Residency, and co-leads Agami’s Environmental Justice initiative.
Prior to his role at Agami, Atreyo was a consultant on citizenship issues at the Centre for Public Law, Jindal Global University, where he focused on foreigner tribunals in Assam. He also co-founded the State Clean Electricity Transition Tracker India (SCETTI), a project tracking India’s policy shifts away from fossil fuels, supported by the Subak Accelerator Grant. Atreyo is presently mentoring an emergent network called ‘Varta Varan’ which is a youth led coalition of students in India taking urgent climate action.
Atreyo has extensive legal experience, having practiced across various judicial fora, including the Supreme Court of India, multiple High Courts, and other tribunals during his tenure at Trilegal and Argus Partners.
