Profile
Anubhav is a Doctoral student in Public Policy at National Law School India University, Bengaluru. His research interests lie at the intersection of social conflict, social justice, markets, discourse, evidence, and policymaking. He has cleared UGC-NET/JRF in Political Science.
Anubhav is pursuing his doctoral thesis on the impact of discourse on reservation policy. As a case study, he has chosen the case of the Jat reservation. Through his doctoral work, Anubhav is interested in bringing out the place of evidence in social policies, the importance evidence has in decision-making processes, the difference in procedures of different institutions, the interaction of different ideological discourse formations within and between institutions, and the impact of discourses on the theoretical understanding of reservation policy. He has presented papers at the prestigious International Public Policy Association, the International Political Science Association and British Association for South Asian Studies. Apart from his academic engagement, Anubhav is a keen observer of Indian politics and is enthusiastic about sports.
