This research based seminar course provides an introduction to Mergers & Acquisitions from a practitioner’s perspective. It will run over twenty seminars of two hours each.
This is an elective course. The choice of materials is a mix of statutes, case law and transaction documents.
The statutory materials include the Companies Act, 2013, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 2000, the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, and the rules and regulations issued thereunder. The method of teaching will be the Socratic method.
