IPP900 | Introduction to Public Policy

This course introduces the discipline of public policy. As an introductory course, how different
individual courses in two-year programme are intimately connected with the public policy
question is demonstrated through this course. The objective of this course is to present different
approaches existing within the domain of Public Policy as ‘policy science’, ‘policy
professionalism’, ‘interdisciplinary policy study’. Expected learning outcomes are: understanding
about the defining features of public policy, its historical origin, different theoretical orientations
of public policy, distinction of public policy from law and its interconnections.
