The course explores key theoretical, historical and conceptual parameters of trade mark law. It also imparts skills useful in everyday trade mark law practice. The aim of the course is to question existing rationales of trade mark law and administrative systems in theory and practice. It requires knowledge of the foundational ideas of trade mark law as it will explore concepts beyond those discussed in the IPR survey course. The course will involve practical application of concepts through in-class exercises across modules and a seminar paper presentation.
