Profile

Jai previously worked for the Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR). He co-managed the Supreme Court Observer, reporting on cases such as ‘Indian Young Lawyers Association’ and ‘Navtej Singh Johar’. After leaving CLPR, he interned for the Chief Justice of India Dr. DY Chandrachud.

At Cambridge, Jai sat on the Board of Editors for the Cambridge Law Review. For his dissertation, he examined the limits of legal transplantation through an analysis of the indirect discrimination test in ‘Lt. Cl. Nitisha’. He was awarded the Lizette Bentwich Prize by Trinity College.

His research interests lie in jurisprudence and public law.
