Profile

Lianne D’Souza has previously worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Environmental Law, Education, Research and Advocacy (CEERA) at NLSIU. In this role, she has worked extensively on projects relating to climate change legislation, water law and governance, regulation of access and benefit-sharing in biodiversity conservation and chemical waste management in India.

She has also worked as a Research Assistant with the Low-Carbon Society Programme at Transitions Research, where her work included conducting interdisciplinary research, tracking discussions, mapping out literature and translating research findings into knowledge products for projects relating to transitions. She is also associated with the IUCN – World Commission on Environmental Law as a member of the Early Career Specialist Group. Her primary areas of interests are environmental law, energy law, and international trade law.
