Profile
Nidhi has been working in the field of Competition Law and Economics for almost a decade. Her areas of interest are Competition Law & Economics, Law, Science & Technology, and Public Policy. She has previously worked as a LAMP Fellow while acting as a legislative aide to Members of Parliament of India where she worked on various Bills including the Competition Amendment Bill, 2012. She has trained the IAS, IPS & IFS Officers of India in both procedural and substantive laws as a Faculty in Law at Lal Bahadur Shashtri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussorie.
She has worked as an Expert in Competition Laws with Competition Commission of India (CCI) and with the Competition team of Trilegal. While working with the DG Office, she conducted investigation in cartel and abuse of dominance cases and has prepared investigation reports for the Commission in anti-competitive cases. As a Competition lawyer, she has advised Indian and foreign clients on competition law issues including merger control analysis & did merger filings before the Commission.
Nidhi is currently practicing as an empaneled lawyer with the Delhi High Court & Supreme Court of India where she engages in both civil and criminal litigation. She has advised on services laws, commercial agreements, licensing and distribution arrangements, joint ventures, restrictive practices and due diligence from competition law perspective, market dominance and abuse of dominance, cartel investigations and competition compliance in various sectors. She has been enlisted as top lawyers of India in the Forbes India Legal Power list, 2022. She is additionally working as a Fellow in Law & Economics with the Mercatus Center, George Mason University, USA.
