Profile

Prateek Vijayavargia is a PhD Scholar (2019-) at the Centre for Comparative Politics and Political Theory, Jawaharlal Nehru University. His dissertation title is “From Movement to Ruling Party: A Study of India Against Corruption and Aam Aadmi Party (2011-2020)”. His broad research interests include Indian party politics, populism, political ideology, and secularism. Earlier, he had finished his M.Phil. in Planning and Development from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Bombay, in 2017 and wrote his dissertation on the secularity of India’s educational institutions. He graduated in 2015 from the five- year integrated program in Development Studies at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras. His other interests include quizzing and open-access advocacy, with a special focus on shadow libraries. In his free time, he runs an online academic community that facilitates the sharing of academic resources through institutional access.
