NLSIU announces the ‘MZM Varsity Scholarship’

NLSIU announces the ‘MZM Varsity Scholarship’ commencing Academic Year 2024-25. The scholarship has been instituted with the support of MZM Care Foundation, the philanthropic arm of MZM Legal LLP, a leading law firm based out of Mumbai, New Delhi, and Hyderabad.

This scholarship aims to support deserving students admitted to the 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) programme each academic year. It will cover the annual tuition and facilities fees for multiple students over a consecutive period, as per the MoU with the Foundation.

The distribution of the scholarship funds to the students will be as per the NLSIU Financial Aid Policy.

Reflecting on this collaboration with NLSIU, the MZM team said: “It is a matter of great honour for us to collaborate with National Law School, Bengaluru in this noble cause. We look forward to strengthening  this relationship over time and expanding our association in various other areas to work towards building a more conscious and a woke legal community.” 

NLS alumna Ms. Suchorita Mookerjee, MBL 2001, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at MZM Legal LLP, spoke to us about the process of setting up this scholarship: “I am delighted to support the establishment of this scholarship. It is an honour to act as a bridge between the foundation and the University, ensuring that deserving students have the opportunity to pursue their academic goals. This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering future leaders.”

We thank the MZM Care Foundation for their valuable contribution to NLSIU. The University is committed to supporting its students to continue their studies irrespective of need.
